About the Event

The coronavirus pandemic has had a sudden and powerful impact on our patterns of relating at work and home. This interactive webinar shows how to help teams focus on making sense together of the new realities or ‘new normal’ during and after the first phase of this global pandemic. Several groups internationally and in the UK have found it useful. This is how the webinar works: we ‘map and talk’ about changes and continuity in ways of relating before the virus, during lockdown through to the stage we are at now. As team members talk the map develops on screen with comments and additions. A small workbook and measure of changes in relational awareness/relational contract is available to support the work. Steve Potter is a Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist and has been training teams in relational awareness for many years both in the UK and internationally.  His book 'Therapy with a Map' was published in July 2020.  He is based in London.

Map and Talk

Map and Talk is the website of Steve Potter, a UKCP registered psychotherapist, based in London teaching and supervising work with individuals, teams and organisations.  This website is hoping to spread understanding of Map and talk which is based on the tools and ideas of Cognitive Analytic Therapy and other approaches and enables mapping side by side together the patterns of interaction in the stories we tell of the lives we are living.
