About the Event

Narcissism permeates all aspects of contemporary society and distorts our ambitions, achievements and sensitivity to our own and others feelings. It shows up in relationships as inbalances of power, entitlement, over valuation of ideas and  threats of denigration and contempt.  Healthly forms of narcissism get entangled with harmful forms.  Templates for mapping as we talk can catch the patterns of these varieties of narcissistic relating to self and others and society.  Tracking them in the immediate moment can help discuss them more safely and openly.

This half-day CPD event is for therapists and counsellors and people in the mental health professions.  Different templates for mapping narcissistic patterns will be demonstrated and then tried out in pairs.   Participants should go away with new ways of thinking about and working with narcissism in their everyday practice.
